Envy Version 1.2 has just been released and is regarded as a major update from 1.1.4. Major updates require a high level of care when updating existing sites, particularly where customisations have been made to your theme. Update-safety is markedly improved if using ENVY’s ‘user-‘ files. Click here for more info.
So, What’s New in 1.2?
The most significant update has been to the /lib/main.js file which has been almost entirely rewritten. The logic has been improved such that header and navigation displacements occur on page ready rather than after page load (except on the home page when the slider is active). Some customers have noted the ‘slow jump’ on the header when loading pages. Although this can’t be removed entirely, the ‘slow jump’ has now been transformed into a ‘quick jump’ on most pages.
Other developments include improved styling on WooCommerce’s product gallery thumbnails and Pretty Photo lightbox. The home.php file has been renamed front-page.php permitting replacement of the Genesis blog template with WordPress’s default, and a media query change from 800px to 768px to match WooCommerce’s Small Screen styling cross-over.
